The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meikalainen scores with a one two! Zeller had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Cody Zeller has been cut.
Zeller has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Meikalainen finds it's way round the side to connect with Zeller's head.
Zeller dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Zeller throws a sloppy head kick and Meikalainen moves out of range easily.
An inside leg kick lands from Zeller.
Meikalainen looks to land a combination but Zeller avoids it well.
Meikalainen looks to score with a jab to the body but Zeller is just out of range.
Zeller lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Meikalainen motions for Zeller to come forward. Meikalainen throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Matti Meikalainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zeller displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Meikalainen throws out the jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Meikalainen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Zeller. That did some damage!

Zeller does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Zeller takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Meikalainen lands a big right hand that sends Zeller crashing to the mat! Meikalainen stays standing though and waves Zeller back to his feet!
Zeller lands with a kick to the ribs.
A lazy left from Zeller finds it's target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Meikalainen fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Meikalainen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Zeller moves away.

Meikalainen looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Zeller tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Zeller fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Zeller throws a body punch but Meikalainen moves out of range.

Meikalainen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Meikalainen throws out a loose jab but Zeller uses good head movement to avoid it.
Zeller tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Meikalainen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Meikalainen misses the shot to the body.
Zeller throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Meikalainen catches Zeller with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Meikalainen moves in close and cracks Zeller with a massive right hand! Zeller, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Meikalainen!
