Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rota Bope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Pan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rota Bope!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Pan!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pan wants to clinch up but Bope keeps it at a distance.
Bope swats away the attempt to clinch by Pan.

Bope gets a double leg takedown into Pan's guard.
Bope controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bope passes Pan's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Pan is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pan wants to control but Bope is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bope uses his free foot to push down on Pan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pan.
Pan looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Pan is taking damage to the body and head.
Pan wants to escape the position.
Bope slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Pan is trying to break free.
Pan tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Pan takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Bope scoring with strikes but Pan is staying in there.
Bope unloading with bombs!
Pan wants to control but Bope is having none of it.
Bope sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Pan regains half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Pan manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bope postures up.

Pan working for a triangle but Bope defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bope has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Pan is proving hard to escape from.
Bope lands a couple of elbows.

Pan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bope can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bope passes into half guard.

Bope is taking a breather. Pan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bope will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bope prevents Pan from standing back up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Pan looking for submissions off his back.
Bope looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Pan closes the distance but Bope moves to the side

and Bope counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bope.

Pan is looking for a triangle here but Bope uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Pan tries to improve position but can't.
Pan looks winded!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pan sneaks back into half guard.
Bope seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Bope has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bope takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rota Bope dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Bope manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pan on his heels. He'll look to pass Pan's guard now, I'm sure.
Bope trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bope is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bope pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pan is keeping the position for now.
Bope slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bope is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Pan tries to bench press Bope off him but Bope keeps the position.

Pan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bope but Bope pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Pan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rota Bope is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Peter Pan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bope throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pan shoots in but no luck this time.

Bope closes the distance and clinches.

Pan jumps guard.

Bope content to stall in guard here.

Pan is looking for a triangle but Bope pushes his legs off easily.

Bope avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pan is breathing heavily.

Pan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bope doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bope manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bope is working Pan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bope slips nicely into half guard.
Bope is taking a breather. Pan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Bope is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pan defends it well.
Bope blocks the strikes from Pan.
Bope content to control rather than advance.

Pan is defending against the submission attempts here by Bope.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pan is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Bope is tapping! Great win for Pan!
