Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Split Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masahiko Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Masahiko Kimura!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rush closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kimura is trying to maintain the position but Rush is very close to passing his half guard.
Rush prevents Kimura from improving his position.
Rush missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Rush sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kimura defending well though.
Rush throwing shots but Kimura is blocking nicely.

It looks like Masahiko Kimura has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rush is keen to just control but Kimura is a slippery customer.
Kimura won't allow Rush to pass to mount.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Rush is in close to Kimura's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Rush slips nicely into half guard.
Kimura looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Rush turns into Kimura and is now in his guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Rush rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Kimura is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Rush is looking to improve his position but Kimura isn't that keen on the idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rush closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kimura's guard.

Rush postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Rush stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Kimura has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Rush manages to get his head free but now Kimura has transitioned to an armbar! Rush grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Kimura! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Masahiko Kimura!
