The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez swats away the attempt to clinch by Apple.
Hernandez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hernandez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Apple should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hernandez connects with the punch.
Hernandez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Apple looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hernandez tests Apple's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Apple walks into a straight right hand from Hernandez.
Hernandez misses the shot to the body.

Apple tries to clinch but Hernandez is having none of it.

Hernandez sends Apple crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hernandez is motioning to the referee to let Apple up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hernandez sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Apple's defenses. It connects perfectly with Apple's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
