The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Carter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Carter cracks Bones with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Bones on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Bones takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
A slapping leg kick lands for Carter.
Carter tries to land a front kick but Bones steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bones tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bones has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carter connects with an inside leg kick.
Bones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Carter can pounce on him.

Carter throws a shot from downtown. Bones moves away and avoids it.
Bones feints the counter takedown.
Carter throws a big shot that misses.
Bones takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Carter scores with a jab to the head.
Bones blocks a leg kick.
Carter buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Carter connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Carter seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A slow jab from Carter misses its intended target.
Carter misses with a looping right.
Carter just misses with a punch to the body.
Bones changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
A good leg kick by Carter.
Carter lands with a kick to the ribs.
Dylan Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bones blocks a leg kick.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A shot to the body from Carter misses
and Bones counters with a single leg into guard. Carter didn't expect that.

Bones has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Carter is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Bones looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Bones is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Carter is forced to tap! Great finish!
