Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pascual Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patti Rengur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez comes to the cage accompanied by Another One Bites The Dust. Patti Rengur is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rengur gets a clinch.
Rengur has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Rengur misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Perez.
Perez has Rengur pressed against the cage, preventing Rengur from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Perez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rengur fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rengur is looking to clinch but Perez is avoiding it.
Perez half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Rengur closes the distance and clinches.
Rengur lands a right hand.
Perez looking for a takedown.
Rengur wants to stall.
Perez is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Rengur wants to break free but Perez has control.
Perez jumps guard but Rengur turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rengur throws a right and a left that Perez avoids nicely.
Rengur throws a series of punches but Perez moves out of range.
Perez is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rengur.
Rengur tries to clinch there but Perez circles away.

Perez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Perez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rengur sprawls well. Rengur wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Perez gets slowly back to his feet.
Perez takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

It looks like Pascual Perez has been cut.
Perez shoots for a takedown but Rengur saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rengur tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Perez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rengur takes the fight into the clinch.
Perez on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Perez drags the fight down to the ground.

Rengur gets to his feet - Perez follows without any prompting.
Rengur tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Perez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Rengur scores with a three punch combo!
Perez shoots for a double leg takedown but Rengur sprawls well. He's pushed Perez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A countering left hand to the body from Rengur misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rengur moves to clinch but Perez breaks away

and Perez counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Perez is working for a submission of some sort.
Rengur pushes Perez off looking to stand but Perez dives back in and keeps control.
Rengur is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
We've been hearing good reports from Perez's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Rengur makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Perez fails with the takedown.

Rengur uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Perez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rengur defends well and Perez ends up having to push Rengur into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rengur tries to throw a body punch but Perez avoids it by throwing Rengur back against the cage.
Perez stalling in the clinch.

Rengur breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rengur rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Perez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rengur tries to clinch up.
Patti Rengur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Perez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rengur tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Perez is in Rengur's guard.
Perez stands and throws Rengur's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Perez advances to mount.

Rengur is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Perez is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Perez extends the arm and Rengur is forced to tap!
