Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Neal Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randy connects with a jab.
Randy has Diaz up against the cage in a clinch.
Randy lands an elbow inside.
Diaz wants to take the fight to the mat but Randy manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Randy throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Randy putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Diaz in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Diaz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Randy prevents it.

Diaz has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Randy after a bit of a struggle.
Diaz has Randy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Randy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Randy is pressed up against the cage. Diaz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Randy down to the mat. Randy avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Diaz looks for a takedown but Randy sprawls well.

Randy comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Randy pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Randy is breathing heavily.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Randy obliges.

Diaz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Randy pushes off an throws an elbow but Diaz leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Diaz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Randy has him pressed against the cage.
Diaz goes for a takedown attempt but Randy pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Diaz closes the distance and clinches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Randy dominated that round.

Randy gets caught flat footed, as Diaz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Diaz thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Randy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Diaz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Diaz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Diaz wants to control from the top but Randy keeps moving.
Diaz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Randy is keeping the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz advances to half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Randy is not content to let Diaz control the position.

Diaz is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Randy is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
