PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Taisto Perälä (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drug Killjoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Drug Killjoy!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Perälä misses.
Killjoy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
It looked like Perälä was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Killjoy.
Killjoy goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

It looks like Taisto Perälä has been cut.
Killjoy pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Killjoy moves out of range as Perälä strikes.
Killjoy pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Killjoy throws a leg kick which misses Perälä's front leg but catches the back leg as Perälä tries to avoid it.
Killjoy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Killjoy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Peräläs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Perälä on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Killjoy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Perälä has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Perälä and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Killjoy moves forwards but Perälä connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Perälä takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Perälä cracks Killjoy with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Perälä fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Killjoy has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Killjoy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Perälä. That did some damage!

Perälä on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Killjoy. Killjoy obviously looking to wear him down.
Killjoy throws a good cross that connects.

Perälä was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Killjoy is pawing at Perälä, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Perälä's nose. Perälä is badly hurt! Killjoy pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Perälä tries desperately to hold on but Killjoy is relentless in his assault! As Perälä receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Killjoy away and this one is in the books!
