Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Carpenter, right into the meat.
Downs closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Carpenter to the mat! Carpenter manages to get full guard.
Carpenter kicks Downs off and gets to his feet.
Carpenter lands the left hand.
Downs instigates a clinch.
Carpenter is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Downs can't fight it off and eventually Carpenter manages to take the fight to the floor. Downs looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Downs is trying to hold Carpenter in close to prevent damage but Carpenter has managed to pass into half guard.
Carpenter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Downs trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Carpenter manages to pass to mount!
Carpenter has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Downs is forced to tap!
