The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Math feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Powell could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Math pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Powell is keeping the position for now.
Math stands up and waves to Powell to follow him.
Math lands with a good body shot.
Math shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Math stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Powell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Math to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Powell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Math landing some decent shots from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Math lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Math gets to his feet - Powell follows without any prompting.
Math lands a huge takedown. Powell is out but the ref is slow to react and Math lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Powell lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dam Math!
