The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gracie's head.

It looks like Anderson Gracie has been cut.
We've been hearing reports that Gracie has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Harris tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gracie darts in looking for a takedown but Harris gets double underhooks and turns Gracie into the cage.

Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Harris circles away.

Good leg kick by Harris there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Gracie lunges at Harris with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Harris's hand.

Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Harris walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gracie is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Harris pulls his head out easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Harris is trying to control the action in half guard but Gracie is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
