Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Myles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Myles has chosen Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darren Myles!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myles lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Morgan circles away quickly and effectively.
Morgan getting the better of the striking in that exchange.


It looks like Darren Myles has been cut.
Myles throws a right hand that Morgan ducks under and follows up with a left that Morgan also avoids with ease.
Myles swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Myles shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Morgan's guard.
Myles postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Myles throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Morgan wants to stand but Myles is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Myles in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Myles stops Morgan from standing up.
Morgan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A combination from Myles does no damage.
Morgan throwing a counter right hand but Myles manages to avoid it.
Nice sprawl there from Morgan as Myles shoots in.
An attempted straight right counter from Morgan misses the target.

Myles throws out a counter right but Morgan avoids it with no problem.

Myles scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Myles in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Morgan wants to get back to his feet but Myles drags him back down.
Myles wants to lay and pray for a moment but Morgan keeps working.
Morgan pushes Myles away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Myles gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Morgan trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Myles slips under a jab from Morgan.
Morgan looks to land a left hand but Myles moved out of range nicely.
Darren Myles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Myles throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Myles on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Myles throws a nice looking combination but Morgan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Morgan catches Myles with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Myles throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Morgan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Myles is in Morgan's guard.
Morgan wants to stand up but Myles is controlling him.
Myles throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morgan wants to stand and escape but Myles is having none of it.
Morgan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Myles throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Morgan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Myles stops Morgan from standing up.
Myles throws an elbow that misses. Morgan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Myles's guard. Nice move by Morgan!

Myles is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Myles wants to hit a switch here but Morgan passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Myles there!
Morgan avoids the attempt from Myles to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Myles can't escape the position.

Morgan goes for an armbar but Myles turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Myles.

Morgan pushes Myles off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Morgan walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


It looks like Andrew Morgan has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A left and a right from Morgan both land. Nice combination.
Nice sprawl there from Morgan as Myles shoots in.
A little feinted left hand from Morgan on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Morgan stuffs the takedown attempt from Myles. Myles gets slowly back to his feet.
Andrew Morgan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darren Myles.
Myles doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Morgan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Andrew Morgan will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Morgan feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Myless jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Myles looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Myles keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Morgan.
Morgan throws a hook to the side of Myles's head but Myles sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Morgan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Morgan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Myles.
Myles lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Morgan slips a straight right by Myles.

Myles shoots in and gets a takedown into Morgan's guard.
Morgan is looking to stand up but Myles isn't so interested in that idea.
Myles wants to control from the top but Morgan keeps moving.
Darren Myles has got the better of the ground game so far.

Morgan uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Myles fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Myles shoots in for a takedown but Morgan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Myles goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Myles takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

That has opened up Darren Myles's cut even more.
Myles rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Morgan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Morgan cracks a nice hook into Myles's ribs.
Morgan misses with a looping right.
Morgan is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Myles swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Myles!
Myles is breathing heavily.

Morgan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Myles to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Morgan wriggles free and stands up.
Morgan is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Myles throws a left and a right that both miss
and Myles takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Morgan tests Myles's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Morgan clobbers Myles with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Myles is looking for the big counter here.
Morgan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Myles.

Darren Myles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Myles keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A jab from Myles finds it's way through Morgan's defenses.
The fighters circle momentarily. Morgan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Morgan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Myles.
Morgan lands a really nice looking cross but Myles seems unphased.

Myles displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Morgan throws out the jab.

Morgan was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Morgan jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Morgan connects with a crisp jab.
Myles is still on wobbly legs! Can Morgan finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Morgan knocks out Myles with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Morgan before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Morgan picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Andrew Morgan!
Andrew Morgan decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
