The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grace blocks a jab.
Gracie throws a wild body kick that Grace sees coming a mile off.

A nice leg kick lands there from Gracie.

Grace feints and then cracks Gracie's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gracie down.
Grace throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gracie throws a hook to the side of Grace's head but Grace sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Grace misses with an uppercut. Gracie saw that one coming.
Some bone on bone action there as Gracie checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Gracie tries a quick counter leg kick but Grace is wise to it.
Gracie fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Grace checks it well.
Grace was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Grace throws a head kick but Gracie moves out of range.
The crowd cheers as Gracie lands an impressive looking overhand right. Grace doesn't seem phased though.
Grace pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Gracie misses with a straight right.
Charles Grace is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gracie cracks a nice hook into Grace's ribs.
Grace displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gracie throws out the jab.
Gracie finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Gracie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grace manages to avoid it.
Grace looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Gracie fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Grace has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Gracie is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Grace.
Grace throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gracie's head.

Gracie is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Mateus Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grace uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gracie.

It appears Grace was looking to counter with a kick there.
Gracie seems to have recovered his senses.
Gracie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Grace counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That has opened up Mateus Gracie's cut even more.
