Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I'd Love to Knock the Hell out of You by Hank Williams, Jr. The key to victory for Sean Matthews has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sean Matthews!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 21 - 2, fighting out of London, Daniel Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews cracks Ryan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Sean Matthews seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ryan on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Ryan misses with a takedown attempt - Matthews sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ryan moves forwards but Matthews connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Matthews lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Matthews turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Matthews does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ryan shoots in looking for a takedown. Matthews tries to sprawl out of it but Ryan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Matthews manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Matthews lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
We've been told by Matthews's head coaches at The Jungle Elite MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Some bone on bone action there as Ryan checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Matthews does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ryan crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Matthews - the referee stops the clock and Ryan gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Matthews. Ryan manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Ryan closes the distance and clinches up with Matthews, looking for a takedown. Ryan pushes Matthews against the cage but Matthews circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ryan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Matthews tries to avoid it but Ryan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Matthews to the ground. Matthews escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
