The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meridius has managed to clinch.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Meridius just misses with a elbow thrown towards Bergmann's brow.

Bergmann pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bergmann changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Meridius looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Meridius really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bergmann. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Meridius can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Meridius takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Bergmann is working to tighten his grip on Meridius's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Meridius has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bergmann is really squeezing tight and eventually Meridius passes out! Bergmann breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
