Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yokozuna Asashoryu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ales Zhandunka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asashoryu fails to land with a series of punches.

Asashoryu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Asashoryu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

A nice side step and Zhandunka releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Asashoryu looks to land a combination but Zhandunka avoids it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A little jabbing left from Zhandunka on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Zhandunka digs a good body shot into Asashoryu's ribs.

and Asashoryu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zhandunka sends Asashoryu crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Zhandunka is motioning to the referee to let Asashoryu up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Asashoryu is rocked!
Zhandunka cracks a nice hook into Asashoryu's ribs.
Oh Asashoryu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Asashoryu leaves his chin hanging out and Zhandunka seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Asashoryu crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
