Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Sasha Solzhenitsyn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Tourney Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Solzhenitsyn sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fighter takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Tourney Fighter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fighter with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Solzhenitsyn doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Solzhenitsyn connects with an inside leg kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Fighter.
A jab from Fighter misses.
Fighter finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
And Solzhenitsyn counters with a quick kick to the body but Fighter blocks it.
Good leg kick by Solzhenitsyn there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fighter lands a leg kick that knocks Solzhenitsyn off balance momentarily.
Fighter has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Solzhenitsyn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Solzhenitsyn counters with a big right hook, that lands right on the temple! Fighter goes down! Solzhenitsyn rushes to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. This one's going to be close! 3,4,5,6,7... Fighter is up to one knee.... 8,9.... He's up! The referee says he's good to go, so we're back to the action!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Fighter scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Fighter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Solzhenitsyn takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

and Solzhenitsyn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Solzhenitsyn throws a big counter combination but Fighter scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Solzhenitsyn throws a low kick, looking for Fighter's leg but Fighter calmly moves out of range.

and Solzhenitsyn counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Fighter onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.
The fighters circling - Fighter throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Solzhenitsyn misses with a body shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Fighter! But no joy.
Solzhenitsyn throws a head kick that misses.
Fighter on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Fighter lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Solzhenitsyn has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Solzhenitsyn and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fighter just misses with a punch to the body.
Solzhenitsyn throws a front kick that sends Fighter stumbling back into the cage.

Fighter closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Solzhenitsyn blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Fighter tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Solzhenitsyn misses with some punches.
Solzhenitsyn misses with the head strike.
Fighter misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Solzhenitsyn throws a punch but it's blocked by Fighter.
Solzhenitsyn misses with a punch on the inside.
Fighter swings wildly with an uppercut but Solzhenitsyn uses good head movement to avoid it.
Fighter doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

and before Fighter has any time to reset, Solzhenitsyn cracks him with a big right hand that drops him face first to the canvas! He's hurt! I don't think he's going to get back up from that one! He's trying but he's doing the chicken dance and has face planted into to cage, causing the referee to bring this fight to an end! This one is all over!

A relieved looking Sasha Solzhenitsyn thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
