Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pete Granger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vic Slovsky!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slovsky takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Vic Slovsky has been cut.
Granger dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Granger connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Slovsky momentarily.
Slovsky tries to move into range but Granger moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Slovsky on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Granger lands a left and a right that send Slovsky crashing to the mat, dazed. Granger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Slovsky is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Granger jabs at Slovsky's body.
Slovsky is still on wobbly legs! Can Granger finish him?
Granger grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Slovsky takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Granger cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Pete Granger!
A very excited looking Pete Granger made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
