Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael Koko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Street (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Street has chosen The Truth as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Michael Street has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Street!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koko lands with a thumping leg kick.
Koko looks to land a left hand but Street moved out of range nicely.
Koko with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Street to score with a decent uppercut.
Horrible takedown attempt by Street or perhaps it was just good defense by Koko, which made it look bad.

Street gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Street lands a nice knee to the body.
Koko tries to break the clinch but Street is controlling the position.
Street slows down the pace here.
Street lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Koko backwards.
Street misses with a knee to the head.
Koko has had enough of the clinch but Street keeps him there for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Koko wants to break free but Street has control.

Koko is fighting off a takedown attempt but Street is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Koko to the mat. Koko regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Koko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Koko is thwarting Street's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Street is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Koko's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Koko's back!

Street is trying to stick to Koko's back but Koko is turning into Street. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Street's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Koko.

Koko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Street has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Koko has managed to get both his arms back between Street's legs - danger averted.

Street has his foot on Koko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Koko works his way back into a safe position though.
Street bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Koko's guard.

Koko wants to stand but Street is controlling the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Street accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Street tries to free his leg and advance position but Koko is retaining full guard.

We've been told by Koko's head coaches at Woodhouse's that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Street walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Koko swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Koko throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Koko cracks Street with an open hand slap.
Street walks into a jab.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Street is defended easily by Koko.

Street takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Street slips a straight right by Koko.
Koko misses with a hook. Street ducked under it nicely.
Street ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Koko manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
