A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fayth accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mara does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Fayth throws out a loose jab but Mara uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mara works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Salosen Mara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mara takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mara throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fayth sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Fayth throws a chopping leg kick but Mara manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Fayth is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mara.

Fayth shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mara but Mara pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That was a close round but I would say that Ray Fayth will probably get the nod.

Fayth is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Fayth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mara is just riding it out for now. Fayth eventually gives up the hold.
Mara has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fayth is working away from the top position though.

Fayth is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mara sees it coming and defends easily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ray Fayth will probably get the nod.

Mara feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Fayth sprawling to the canvas! Fayth rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mara finish him?!

Fayth is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Fayth tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mara sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fayth somewhat.

I would just about give that final round to Salosen Mara.
