Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Louis Gordon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Texas Pete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gordon kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Battle Born - 5FDP. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon looks to score with a jab to the body but Pete is just out of range.
Gordon throws a wild body kick that Pete sees coming a mile off.
Pete throws out a counter right but Gordon avoids it with no problem.
Gordon has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Highland Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Pete plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Louis Gordon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gordon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pete connects with a nice looking jab.
Pete moves out of range as Gordon throws a body kick.
It seemed like Pete was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Gordon cracks Pete with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Pete loads up on a big right hand but Gordon slips the punch.
Pete blocks a head kick by Gordon.

Pete's coach down at LOD-Guts & Glory Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pete's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Gordon tries a head kick but it misses.

Gordon thuds his shin into the meat of Pete's side.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pete. Gordon does a little dance to reset his feet.
As Pete tries to get set, Gordon tries to push him back and clinch up but Pete manages to avoid the attempt.
Gordon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Pete cracks Gordon with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Louis Gordon has been cut.
Pete uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gordon.
Pete throws out a counter right but Gordon avoids it with no problem.

Pete feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Gordon sprawling to the canvas! Gordon rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pete finish him?!

Gordon is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pete walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Gordon drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Pete swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Gordon's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
