Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Orange Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Douglas has chosen Go For a Soda by Kim Mitchell as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jack Douglas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Orange Joe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Douglas!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Douglas catches Joe with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Joe swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Douglas throws a fast counter high kick but Joe manages to duck under it in time.
Douglas needs to keep his hands up - Joe had a free shot at his head there.
Joe has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ultimate MMA Training Center in the buildup to the fight.
Douglas will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Douglas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Joe.
Douglas lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Joe throws a nice head kick!
Joe throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

It looks like Jack Douglas has been cut.
Joe throws the left hand but Douglas avoids the punch easily.
Joe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Douglas manages to avoid it.
Douglas was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Joe throws a big shot that misses.
Douglas keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Joe.
Douglas throws a lazy right hand but Joe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Douglas looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Joe!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Joe manages to get back to half guard.
Joe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Joe is controlling Douglas's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Douglas lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Joe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Douglas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Douglas makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Joe wants to sweep here but Douglas controlling him for the moment.
Joe has momentary wrist control but Douglas slips an elbow through the middle.


Joe is rocked!
Douglas postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Oh Joe is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Douglas is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Douglas is nestled in close to Joe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Joe wants to control but Douglas is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Douglas seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Joe wants to control the action here but instead Douglas manages to pass to full mount!

Douglas uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Douglas dodges the punch combination from Joe.
Douglas lands a big head kick that sends Joe to the canvas! Douglas follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Jack Douglas gave a mention to Sun-Tzu in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
