The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos moves in looking to clinch but Fukuda pushes him off.
Fukuda throws a body shot but no joy.
Ramos misses with a takedown attempt
and Fukuda counters with a straight right hand.
Fukuda throws a body punch but Ramos moves out of range.
Jackson Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ramos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fukuda makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Fukuda throws a leg kick that is checked

and Ramos counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Ramos is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Fukuda looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ramos is one step ahead there.

Ramos tries to free his leg and advance position but Fukuda is retaining full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ramos scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Tatsuzo Fukuda is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ramos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fukuda.
Ramos fails with the takedown.

Ramos shoots in but Fukuda avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ramos wants to pass the guard but Fukuda is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fukuda is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Fukuda tries to hold on but Ramos pushes him away.
