Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johann Kessler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kieran Summers!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Steve Erwin and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Kessler. That's going to slow Summers down.
Kessler on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Kessler takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kessler loads up on a big right hand but Summers slips the punch.
Summers raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Kessler swings for the body but Summers moves out of range.
Kessler tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Summers is able to avoid easily.
Kessler cracks the inside of Summers's front leg.
Summers scores with a head kick.
Kessler throws a leg kick but Summers moved away.
A head kick misses from Summers.
A counter left hand to the body from Kessler misses its target.
A bone on bone clash there as Kessler blocks the leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kessler looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kessler lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Summers has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Summers and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kessler dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Summers. That did some damage!
Kessler connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Kessler throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Summers stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Kessler counters with a series of strikes. Summers will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Kessler counters with a good, hard body kick but Summers shrugs it off.

Summers is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
As Summers backs away, Kessler returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Kessler shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Kessler looks to land a right hand but Summers moved out of range.
Kessler throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Kessler thuds his right hand into Summers's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Kessler rushes Summers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kessler is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Summers can do to turn this around?
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kessler takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Kessler checks a leg kick.
Kessler fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Summers is out of range.

Kessler takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kessler fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Summers manages to avoid it.
Kessler connects with a leg kick. Summers looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Summers misses with a double jab.
Kessler motions for Summers to come forward. Kessler throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Kessler lands a big head kick that sends Summers tumbling to the mat! Kessler takes a step backwards and waves Summers back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Summers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Summers takes a jab right on the kisser.
Summers gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Kessler counters with a stiff right hand.

and Kessler counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Summers! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johann Kessler!
A relieved looking Johann Kessler thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
