Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hump Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hump Face had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hump Face!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lucas Da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Face misses with a body kick.
Face throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Face clinches with his opponent.
Face tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Da Silva avoids it.
The referee is keeping an eye on Da Silva - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Da Silva tries to break free but Face pushes him back against the ropes.
Face landing knees to the head.


It looks like Lucas Da Silva has been cut.
Face has Da Silva pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Da Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Face misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Da Silva.
Face gets underhooks to prevent Da Silva's takedown attempt.
Da Silva lands with a short shot to the head.
Face could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Da Silva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Face pulls his leg out and moves away.
Face shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Da Silva pinned against the ropes. Da Silva gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Face is breathing heavily.

Face tries to keep at a distance but Da Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.

Da Silva lands a right hand.

Da Silva tries to score a body lock takedown but Face shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Hump Face has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucas Da Silva.
Face drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A short uppercut from Da Silva.
Da Silva lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Da Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Face pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Da Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

It looks like Da Silva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Da Silva trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Da Silva wants to control from the top but Face keeps moving.
Da Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Face. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Da Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Face throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Da Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Face has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Da Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Face's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Face doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Da Silva throws a big right hand that misses.
Face utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Face tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Face scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
Da Silva looking to pass the guard.
Da Silva pushing down on Face's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Face is not content to let Da Silva control the position.
Still in half guard, Da Silva seems content to control.
Da Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Face is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Da Silva looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Da Silva thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Face's head.

Face is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Da Silva pulls his head out easily.
Da Silva tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Da Silva throwing shots but Face is blocking nicely.

Face tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Da Silva sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Face defending well though.
Face keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Face has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Face is not content to let Da Silva control the position.
Face is looking to improve his position.
Da Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Face keeps working.
Da Silva tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Da Silva throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Face tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Da Silva is in Face's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Face takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Da Silva looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Face tries to sprawl but Da Silva drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Da Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Face is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Da Silva blocks the strikes from Face.

Da Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Face defends it well.
Face moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Da Silva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Face works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Da Silva wants to control from the top but Face keeps moving.

Face looking for a guillotine here but Da Silva defends easily.

Da Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Face, up you get!

Da Silva shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Da Silva seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Face does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Da Silva seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Face slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Da Silva stands up over Face, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Da Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Face has wrist control.

Face is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Face is looking to cinch up a triangle. Da Silva throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Face's body to avoid the submission. Face has instead reached around Da Silva's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Face arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Hump Face!
