Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sandayu Momochi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Jodorowsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alejandro Jodorowsky is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Alejandro Jodorowsky!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jodorowsky looks to score with a jab to the body but Momochi is just out of range.
Jodorowsky moves in looking to clinch but Momochi pushes him off.
Jodorowsky lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Momochi backs up against the cage.
Jodorowsky takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Momochi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jodorowsky sprawls well initially but Momochi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Momochi seems to be working for a kimura but Jodorowsky defends the submission attempt.

Momochi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jodorowsky defends it well.
Jodorowsky has his hands clasped together around Momochi 's back. He's all about the action.

Jodorowsky tries to get to full guard but Momochi has control of the leg.

Momochi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jodorowsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Momochi . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Momochi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Momochi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Momochi lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Momochi wants to work for an arm triangle but Jodorowsky is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Momochi is looking for a kimura but Jodorowsky is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Momochi to get the leverage.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jodorowsky can do anything to dispel that myth.
Momochi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jodorowsky's head.
Momochi wants to pass the guard but Jodorowsky is defending well.

Momochi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jodorowsky doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Momochi .
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Jodorowsky is looking to escape.
Momochi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Jodorowsky avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Momochi .
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jodorowsky slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Momochi content to stall in guard here.

Momochi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Jodorowsky is trying to defend but Momochi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Momochi has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Jodorowsky defend it? Momochi steps over the head and cranks it - Jodorowsky is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Momochi !
