Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chrys Kyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Tempest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chrys Kyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marvin Tempest!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tempest tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tempest on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.


It looks like Marvin Tempest has been cut.

Kyle bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Tempest! He dives into his guard looking to finish!


Tempest is rocked!
Kyle wants to stand but Tempest has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Tempest is still in real trouble! Can Kyle finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kyle wants to stand and escape but instead Tempest has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Kyle wants to get back to his feet but Tempest is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Tempest stands up from guard. Let's bang!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kyle tries a head kick but it misses.
Tempest unleashes a big counter combination but Kyle bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Tempest seems to have recovered his senses.

Tempest scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kyle bucks up and tries to throw Tempest off but instead Tempest has got his back!
Tempest controlling the position well here. Kyle rolled but Tempest kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Tempest has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Kyle's body.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tempest controls the position.

Tempest is looking for the choke from the back position but Kyle is controlling his hands well.
Tempest throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Kyle!

Tempest is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Kyle has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Kyle is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Tempest has good solid back control here.

Tempest is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Kyle is trying to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tempest is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Kyle is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Tempest.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Tempest is landing with strikes from the back.
Kyle is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Tempest should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chrys Kyle will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


A low kick from Kyle misses

and Tempest decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kyle's guard.
Tempest engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Kyle wants to stand up but Tempest is controlling him.

Tempest gets to his feet - Kyle follows without any prompting.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kyle bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tempest's head.

Tempest fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kyle, pushing him back against the cage.
Kyle keeps control of Tempest as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Tempest displaying some good clinch control by pressing Kyle up against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Tempest tries to land a knee to the head but Kyle blocks with his arms.

Tempest is trying to pull guard but Kyle has him pressed against the cage.
Kyle slows down the pace here.
Kyle manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Tempest tries to break the clinch but Kyle is controlling the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Kyle lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Kyle manages to break the clinch.
Tempest takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Tempest closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kyle is trying to stand back up but Tempest is controlling him
Tempest has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Kyle wants to try and get back to his feet.

Tempest is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kyle has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Kyle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tempest on the ground.

Tempest lands a big elbow.
Tempest lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Tempest won't let Kyle get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Marvin Tempest has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kyle is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Tempest has taken his back!
Kyle is trying to stand back up.

Kyle is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Kyle is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Tempest is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Kyle defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Tempest is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marvin Tempest showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Tempest circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tempest shoots and misses
and Kyle counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tempest fails with the takedown
and Kyle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Tempest rushes Kyle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kyle lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Kyle.
A body shot lands from Kyle.
Kyle trying to stall but Tempest improves his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kyle is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Tempest is keeping busy.
Kyle softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Tempest has had enough of the clinch but Kyle keeps him there for the moment.
Kyle throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Tempests head.

An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kyle.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Kyle.
Kyle lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Tempest.
Kyle is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Kyle dips a shoulder and cracks Tempest with a mighty uppercut! Tempest falls back against the cage and Kyle unloads with a barrage of strikes! Tempest is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Kyle screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chrys Kyle!
A very excited looking Chrys Kyle made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
