The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Skinner.
Skinner connects with a solid leg kick.
Skinner pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hole back to the cage. Skinner follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Lou Hole has been cut.
Skinner moves out of range of the strikes.
Skinner steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hole.
Skinner lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hole misses the jab.
Skinner throws out a powerful jab.
Hole misses with a wild body shot.
Hole moves to clinch but Skinner breaks away
and Skinner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Skinner thows a left - swing and a miss!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Skinner rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hole cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nice defenses there by Skinner.
Skinner is looking for a counter combo.
Hole misses with a hook
and Skinner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hole thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hole lands with an overhand left.
Skinner throws a hook but Hole avoids it easily.
Skinner scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Skinner throws a nice outside leg kick.
Hole throws a jab when Skinner was well out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Skinner. Those never looked like landing.
Nice uppercut there from Skinner.
Hole moves out of range as Skinner strikes.
Hole is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Skinner moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Skinner!
Eric Skinner decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
In defeat, Lou Hole stepped up to the mic, saying 'What can I say you got me man'.
