The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lazaro misses with a kick to the body
and Carolla cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Carolla throws a hook to the side of Lazaro's head but Lazaro sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lazaro misses with a straight left.
A cross from Carolla lands.
Carolla throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Lazaro holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The referee calls for Carolla to work.
Lazaro goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lazaro misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Lazaro tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Lazaro is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Carolla is keeping busy.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lazaro creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Lazaro throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Carollas head.
Oh Carolla is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carolla is trying to maintain a safe position but Lazaro gets an underhook and turns Carolla into the cage.
Lazaro is leaning against Carolla and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Lazaro pushes Carolla against the cage. Lazaro is working some dirty boxing. Lazaro pushes off with a quick right hook! Carolla goes down! Carolla tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Lazaro moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paulo Lazaro!
