Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Eugemia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Victor Sweet!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Eugemia enables Sweet to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Eugemia manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Eugemia seems keen to control Sweet's posture.

Eugemia is looking for a triangle but Sweet pushes his legs off easily.

Sweet is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eugemia is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sweet rolls with it to try and escape but Eugemia cranks on the arm and Sweet is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
