Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Iker Dedal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, William McDougal!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDougal fails with the takedown.
Iker Dedal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McDougal's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Dedal connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! McDougal scrambles back to his feet.

McDougal closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

McDougal decides to stand up.
McDougal looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dedal is fending him off so far but McDougal persists. Nope, Dedal circles away and we're back to standing.
McDougal fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Iker Dedal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William McDougal.
Dedal scores with a body shot.
McDougal shoots and misses
and Dedal counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dedal is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dedal swinging wildly here.
McDougal looks for a takedown but Dedal sprawls well.
Dedal displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McDougal.

McDougal closes the distance and clinches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee calls for McDougal to work.
McDougal drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dedal gets the underhooks and prevents it.
McDougal tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dedal smiles and moves away.
McDougal fails with a takedown attempt.
A punch combination from McDougal misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from McDougal is defended easily by Dedal.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McDougal rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dedal moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dedal lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Dedal throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McDougal stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McDougal loses concentration momentarily and Dedal pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! McDougal crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Dedal finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Iker Dedal!
