Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Valmer!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moss looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Valmer is fending him off so far but Moss persists. Nope, Valmer circles away and we're back to standing.

Moss fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Valmer sprawls well initially but Moss persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Valmer is looking to improve his position.

Valmer is defending against the submission attempts here by Moss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valmer wants to get back to full guard.
Moss really is a fat lump.

Valmer wants to control but Moss is keeping busy.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Valmer. No joy for Moss on that attempt.

Valmer pushes Moss off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Moss.
Moss sets himself, and Valmer steps forward looking for the clinch! Moss avoids it this time.

Moss misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Valmer tries to counter by closing the distance.
Moss fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Moss is breathing heavily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Moss.
Valmer doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Moss goes for a double leg but Valmer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Valmer continues to drive forward.
Valmer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Moss shoots in looking for a takedown but Valmer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Moss's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Moss goes for a double leg but Valmer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Valmer continues to drive forward.
Valmer feints a counter leg kick.
Valmer stuffs the takedown.
Valmer drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Moss defends it well.
Moss shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Valmer but Valmer pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And Valmer tries to counter it with a takedown but Moss pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Moss fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Valmer feints the counter takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Moss tries to close the distance and clinch up but Valmer swats him away and circles back towards the center.

so Valmer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Valmer passes Moss's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Valmer connects with a nice short shot to Moss's temple.


It looks like Rick Moss has been cut.
Valmer moves into full mount! Moss won't be happy about that!
Valmer has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Moss's face.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Valmer lands with some strikes.


Rick Moss's cut is getting worse.

Rick Moss's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rick Moss's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
