Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Martins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konor MacKregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martins lands a nice shot to the body.
MacKregor fails with a takedown attempt.
Martins smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Martins counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

MacKregor closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
MacKregor is trying to ground and pound but Martins uses the momentary lack of control by MacKregor to regain half guard.
Martins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Martins.

MacKregor is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Martins is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Martins has escaped and now he's on top!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

MacKregor escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
MacKregor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

and Martins counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps MacKregor thinking.
Martins connects with a combination that backs up MacKregor into the cage. Martins lands a flurry of punches that gets past MacKregor's guard. MacKregor is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Martins bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
