Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Rodri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulio Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Escobar. Rodri does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rodri leaves Escobar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Escobar tries for a takedown but Rodri sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
As Escobar looks to move away, Rodri throws a big counter combo bu Escobar just gets out of the way.

Rodri moves into the clinch successfully.
Come on Rodri - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Rodri gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Rodri trying to control the position from guard on top but Escobar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Escobar tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodri is looking to stand up but Escobar won't let him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Escobar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rodri's guard.
Escobar passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Escobar wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rodri, who protects the arm well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Escobar is looking to take a break and control but Rodri is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Escobar is working to tighten his grip on Rodri's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rodri has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Escobar is really squeezing tight and eventually Rodri passes out! Escobar breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
