Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bo Taka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brett Harrison Wells!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wells throws a right and a left that both miss.
Taka blocks a low kick nicely.
Taka lunges at Wells with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wells's hand.
Wells misses with a straight right.
Taka digs a good body shot into Wells's ribs.
Wells on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Taka looks to land a left hand but Wells moved out of range nicely.
Taka missing with a left hand there. Wells was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Taka connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Bo Taka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Taka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wells swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Wells slips under a jab.
Wells throws a lazy right hand but Taka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've been told by Taka's head coaches at All Time Wrestling - 12 ELITE COACHES that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Wells bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Taka lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Wells slips a straight right by Taka.
Wells ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Taka connects with a crisp jab.

Wells scores with a crisp jab that stopped Taka in his tracks.


It looks like Bo Taka has been cut.
Taka lands a nice hook to Wells's body. Wells takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Taka misses with a hook
and Wells counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Taka thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Wells if he has to take too many more of those.
Wells walks into a jab.
Wells shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Taka eats them both and turns towards Wells to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Taka waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wells.
Taka misses with a head kick.
Taka jabs Wells right on the nose. Wells blinks but takes it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Taka lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Taka.


Wells is rocked!
Wells steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Taka.
Wells connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Taka momentarily.
Wells has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Wells takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Taka swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Taka throws a jab but it's blocked by Wells.
Wells shapes to counter with a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

and Taka counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Taka blocks a jab.
Wells throws a hook but Taka avoids it easily.
Taka was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Wells misses with an uppercut. Taka saw that one coming.
Taka throws a series of strikes that have Wells backpedaling.
Wells is still on wobbly legs! Can Taka finish him?
Taka connects with a leg kick. Wells looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Wells seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters circling - Taka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wells misses with a looping right.
Taka just misses with a punch to the body.
Wells does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Taka throws a looping overhand right but Wells ducks down to avoid it.
Wells throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Taka swinging wildly here.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Wells lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Taka has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Taka and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Wells throws a head kick that misses.
Taka fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Wells misses with an uppercut.

enabling Taka to counter with a crisp jab.
Taka checks a low kick from Wells.
A good leg kick by Taka.
Wells throws a head kick but Taka moves out of range.
Taka fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wells has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nice uppercut lands for Taka. That snapped Wells's head back.
Taka connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wells's hands.
Wells has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Taka finds it's way round the side to connect with Wells's head.
The fighters circle momentarily. Taka darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Taka scores with a jab to the body.
Taka lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Wells at a distance.
Wells ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Taka connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Wells momentarily.
Wells on the wrong end of a nice jab.

The fighters circling - Taka throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wells on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Taka. Taka obviously looking to wear him down.
Wells moves out of range as Taka strikes.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wells.
Taka lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Taka has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wells.
Wells closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Sloppy strikes from Taka. Those never looked like landing.
Taka thuds his right hand into Wells's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Wells misses with an uppercut.
Taka getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Taka scores with a leg kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wells fails to land with a series of punches.

Taka sends Wells crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Taka is motioning to the referee to let Wells up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Wells chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Taka can pounce on him.
Taka grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Wells takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Taka cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bo Taka!
Bo Taka was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
The defeated Brett Harrison Wells had this to say: 'I fight the way I fight. No regrets'.
