Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Oke Yagin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mau Cherry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yagin's entrance music is Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Higher Ground . A fine choice. On his way into the cage it seems that Oke Yagin has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Oke Yagin seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mau Cherry!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cherry throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mau Cherry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yagin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cherry is trying to defend but Yagin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Nice strikes from Yagin there.
Yagin not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Yagin wants to take a breather but Cherry is having none of it.
Yagin drops an elbow to the side of Cherry's head.
Yagin is pressing down on Cherry's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cherry is holding on for now.

It looks like Mau Cherry has been cut.

Yagin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cherry manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Yagin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cherry is still in real trouble! Can Yagin finish him?

Cherry seems to have recovered his senses.

Yagin rushes Cherry and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Yagin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mau Cherry is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cherry misses with a combination
and Yagin counters with a single leg into guard. Cherry didn't expect that.
Yagin looking to sit in guard and control but Cherry gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Yagin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Yagin is pulling down on Cherry's head. It's preventing any offense from Cherry, at least for the moment.
Yagin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cherry's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oke Yagin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mau Cherry's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Yagin shoots in but Cherry avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cherry is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

and Yagin counters with a takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yagin in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Cherry looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Yagin turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
