PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damon Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mean Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damon Graves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mean Green!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Green drives through with a takedown into guard.
Graves is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Green throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Graves works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Graves wants to stand and escape but Green is having none of it.

Green got a little sloppy there for a moment and Graves has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Green has managed to get both his arms back between Graves's legs - danger averted.

Graves is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Green defends well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Graves sneaks out the side door and pushes Green away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Green turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Green manages to end up in side control.
Graves tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Green easily slips into full mount!

Mean Green showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Green clinches up with Graves and pushes him back against the cage.

Green gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Green has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Green has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Graves can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Graves distracts Green with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Graves is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Graves working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Green wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Graves thows a huge punch but Green dodges it nicely.

I would just about give that final round to Mean Green.
Well Green has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
