And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Thomas Hawk!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk moves into range and connects with a jab.
Hawk throws the left hand but The Brave avoids the punch easily.
Hawk scores with a crisp jab that stopped The Brave in his tracks.
The Brave lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Hawk walks into a left hand.
Hawk scores with a nice head shot.
Hawk looks to score with a jab to the body but The Brave is just out of range.
It looked like The Brave was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Hawk works the jab nicely.
The Brave misses the shot to the body.
Hawk swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The Brave lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hawk at a distance.
Hawk throws a lazy right hand but The Brave sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Derek The Brave seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for The Brave, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The Brave lands a jab to the nose.
Hawk looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

and Hawk makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. The Brave really felt that one!

The Brave ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hawk moves away.
The Brave scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hawk throws a low kick, looking for The Brave's leg but The Brave calmly moves out of range.
Hawk circles away from the clinch attempt.

and Hawk counters with a lovely straight right hand!
The Brave fails with an attempt to clinch.
The Brave throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The Brave with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hawk dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on The Brave. That did some damage!
Hawk throws a jab but it's blocked by The Brave.
Hawk has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by The Brave.
The Brave shoots in looking for a takedown but Hawk manages to keep the fight standing, pushing The Brave's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
The Brave has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The Brave swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hawk throws a jab but it's blocked by The Brave.

The Brave has managed to clinch.
Hawk tries to throw a body punch but The Brave avoids it by throwing Hawk back against the cage.
The referee calls for The Brave to work.
The Brave misses with the head strike.
The Brave doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Hawk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The Brave on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Hawk is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by The Brave.
Hawk keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
The Brave lands with a kick to the temple. Hawk shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The Brave misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hawk.
The Brave lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

The Brave ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hawk moves away.
The Brave misses with a two punch combination.
The Brave misses with a takedown attempt - Hawk sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Derek The Brave. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hawk takes one to the side of the head.
Hawk tests The Brave's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The Brave misses with a head kick.

Hawk lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.


The Brave is rocked!
The Brave throws a hook but Hawk avoids it easily.
Oh The Brave is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The Brave swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nice cross by Hawk.
Hawk moves in close and cracks The Brave with a massive right hand! The Brave, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Hawk!
