The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregory moves away from the strike by Nogueira.
Gregory was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Nogueira moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Nogueira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gregory manages to avoid it.

Gregory shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gregory showed some decent athleticism there.
Gregory is looking to advance position but Nogueira won't allow it.
Nogueira felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Well, if Gregory is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gregory has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Joe Gregory decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
