The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams lands a slapping body shot.
Williams misses with a head kick.

Rodelin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Williams tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rodelin is in Williams's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williams wants to stand and escape but Rodelin is having none of it.
Rodelin looking to pass the guard.
Rodelin is in close to Williams's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodelin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rodelin advances to half guard.
Williams looks like he's trying to stand up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williams can do anything to dispel that myth.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rodelin is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Williams wants to get back to his feet.

Rodelin is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Rodelin stops Williams from getting back to his feet.
Rodelin moves into full mount! Williams won't be happy about that!
Williams is squirming around, avoiding Rodelin's attempts to control the action.

Rodelin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Williams can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Rodelin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Williams is on top in guard.
Rodelin lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Rodelin wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.

Rodelin is pushing down on Williams's leg trying to pass to half guard. Williams is fighting to maintain full guard but Rodelin has managed to sneak the leg through.
Rodelin prevents Williams from standing back up.
Rodelin looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Williams looks like he's trying to stand up.

Williams is kicking away at Rodelin from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Rodelin grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Williams trying to push Rodelin off... Williams taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
