The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holmes rushes Spinolio and presses him up against the cage.
Holmes tries for a takedown but Spinolio manages to get underhooks.

Holmes's coach down at The Hut - $50 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Holmes's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Holmes misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Spinolio.

Holmes has hold of one of Spinolio's legs. Spinolio is fighting the takedown attempt but Holmes gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holmes is looking to advance position but Spinolio won't allow it.

Spinolio has left one of his arms exposed and Holmes doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Spinolio screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
