Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jerrod Beach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Niskanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jerrod Beach!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Timo Niskanen!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beach looks for a takedown but Niskanen sprawls well.

Niskanen darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That was a close round but I would say that Jerrod Beach will probably get the nod.

Timo Niskanen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Beach shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Beach was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Beach postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Beach tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Beach lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Niskanen down.
Niskanen bucks up and tries to throw Beach off but instead Beach has got his back!

Beach thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Niskanen grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
I really don't envy Niskanen right now.
Beach biding his time, controlling Niskanen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
