Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Philo Beddoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eino Kolehmainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beddoe comes to the cage accompanied by Stranglehold/ Ted Nugent. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Philo Beddoe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eino Kolehmainen!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beddoe jabs Kolehmainen to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Beddoe gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kolehmainen to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Beddoe is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Kolehmainen dives into side control.

Beddoe's coaches at The Iron Palace have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

My spies in Craigs inform me that Kolehmainen has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

You can see the frustration on Beddoe's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kolehmainen tries for a kimura but Beddoe is defending well.

Beddoe is trying to control Kolehmainen's posture but Kolehmainen avoids it.
The referee asks Kolehmainen politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kolehmainen prefers to stall for the moment though.

Kolehmainen swings around for an armbar but Beddoe sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Kolehmainen's guard.

Kolehmainen has his foot on Beddoe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beddoe works his way back into a safe position though.

Kolehmainen has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Beddoe has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Beddoe scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kolehmainen in his tracks.
Beddoe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Philo Beddoe.
I think Beddoe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
