The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carl drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Boyle can't do much from the bottom here.
Boyle regains half guard.
Carl lands strikes from half guard.
Carl not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Boyle avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Carl.
Carl thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Boyle's head.
Carl working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Boyle is looking to control Carl's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Boyle avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carl takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Boyle is rocked!
Carl lands a big elbow - Boyle is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Carl!
