Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nathan Hayway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jordan Belfort !
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayway takes a swing at Belfort 's ribcage but misses.
Nathan Hayway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belfort throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hayway fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Belfort checks it well.
Hayway motions for Belfort to come forward. Hayway throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Belfort throws a big counter head kick but Hayway avoids it with no problem.
Belfort avoids the head kick by Hayway.
Belfort checks a low kick from Hayway.
Hayway throws an off balance right hand

and Belfort counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hayway wants to sweep here but Belfort controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belfort keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hayway's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belfort trying to control the position from guard on top but Hayway is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Belfort has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Belfort pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hayway is keeping the position for now.
Belfort controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Hayway seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Belfort controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Hayway is looking for a triangle but Belfort pushes his legs off easily.

Hayway is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Belfort controls from within his opponent's guard.
Hayway wants to sweep here but Belfort controlling him for the moment.

Hayway is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Belfort is aware though and is defending well.
Belfort wants to control from the top but Hayway keeps moving.
Belfort scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hayway looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hayway controls Belfort momentarily but Belfort frees himself.
Belfort trying to control but Hayway is working from the bottom.
Belfort sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Belfort loads up on a big right hand but Hayway slips the punch.
Belfort steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hayway.
Hayway looks to land a left hand but Belfort moved out of range nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Belfort . Hayway does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hayway scores with a takedown into Belfort 's guard.

Hayway trying to control but Belfort is working from the bottom.
Belfort looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hayway is one step ahead there.

Hayway pushes down on Belfort 's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Belfort looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Belfort has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hayway is working away from the top position though.
Hayway takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Hayway is working for a kimura but Belfort is defending it quite comfortably.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hayway tries to pass the half guard into mount. Belfort knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nathan Hayway will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Belfort is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hayway's half guard.
Belfort scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Belfort uses his free foot to push down on Hayway's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hayway.
Belfort pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Hayway tries to reverse the position but Belfort maintains control.
Hayway takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Belfort has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Belfort is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hayway can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hayway tries to reverse the position but Belfort maintains control.
Belfort wants to control but Hayway has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Hayway tries to get to full guard but Belfort has control of the leg.

Belfort in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Hayway tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Belfort !

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jordan Belfort !
