The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Bon slams his shin into Hardon Jr's torso.
Bon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hardon Jr ducks under a wild hook from Bon.
Hardon Jr wants to clinch but Bon slips to the side
and Bon counters with a one-two to the body.
Hardon Jr on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Bon stalks Hardon Jr and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hardon Jr's face. Hardon Jr staggers backwards, shaken.
Hardon Jr shoots in and gets a takedown into Bon's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bon has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Hardon Jr has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Hardon Jr throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Bons head.
We've been hearing reports that Hardon Jr has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bon has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Bon lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bon.

and Bon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bon wants it to stay on the feet.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Bon. Hardon Jr shrugs it off though.

Bon digs a good hook to Hardon Jr's body.
Bon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hardon Jr. That did some damage!

Bon told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hardon Jr has control of Bon's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bon regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Whack! Bon lands a heavy head kick that drops Hardon Jr. The ref tackles Bon to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Hardon Jr was done.

Remy Bon decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
