Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Cox!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Stith!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox checks a low kick from Stith.
Stith scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Cox gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Stith counters with a right hand to the body.
Stith's coach down at Extreme MMA (7 Elites $250/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Stith's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Stith throws a push kick but Cox slaps the foot to one side.
Stith lands a hook that stumbles Cox back into the cage. Stith follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Cox to the canvas! Stith pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Cox has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
