Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Luca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sambo Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luca comes to the cage accompanied by Filthy Luca Greeting. Johnny Luca has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny Luca!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Sambo Rambo!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rambo drives through with a takedown into Luca's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rambo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Rambo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Luca doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Luca manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rambo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Luca stacks Rambo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Luca!

Luca lunges at Rambo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rambo's hand.
Rambo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Rambo thows a huge punch but Luca dodges it nicely.

Luca pushes Rambo off looking to stand but Rambo dives back in and keeps control.
Rambo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Luca's head.

Rambo is looking to take a break and control but Luca is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Luca wants to improve his position but Rambo is controlling well.
Rambo slips a nice elbow through Luca's hands, connecting with Luca's forehead.
Rambo is stalling here. Luca is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Rambo seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Luca has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Luca has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Rambo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Luca's guard.
Rambo is working Luca over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Rambo wants to control from the top but Luca keeps moving.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Luca will probably get the nod.

Rambo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Rambo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Luca looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We've been told by Luca's head coaches at The Coffee Shop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Luca throws a body punch but Rambo moves out of range.
Luca tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rambo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

No joy there for Luca, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rambo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Luca just stands there and leans against the cage.
Johnny Luca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sambo Rambo.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Luca just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rambo's brow.

Rambo manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Luca is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Rambo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Luca's elbow.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Luca breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Luca has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
An inside leg kick from Luca misses.
Rambo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rambo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Luca throws a chopping leg kick but Rambo manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Johnny Luca seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rambo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Rambo ducks under a wild hook from Luca.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rambo tries to close the distance and clinch but Luca swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Luca tries a head kick but it misses.
Luca jabs Rambo to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Luca tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rambo was well out of range. Poor timing from Luca.
The crowd cheers as Luca lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rambo doesn't seem phased though.
Rambo closes the distance and clinches up with Luca, looking for a takedown. Rambo pushes Luca against the cage but Luca circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
It looked like Luca was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Luca leaves Rambo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rambo scores with a jab to the head.
Luca lands a big head kick that sends Rambo tumbling to the mat! Luca takes a step backwards and waves Rambo back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Rambo is rocked!
Rambo misses with a wild body shot.
Rambo is still on wobbly legs! Can Luca finish him?
Rambo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Luca engages and cracks Rambo with a massive lead left hook - Rambo tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Luca is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Johnny Luca!
