Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christian Rasmussen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kev Rubio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rubio is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by turn down for what. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Christian Rasmussen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kev Rubio!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubio tries to clinch
and Rasmussen counters with an inside leg kick.
Rasmussen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rasmussen enables Rubio to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rasmussen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Rasmussen manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Rasmussen lands a hook to the side of the head.
Rasmussen is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rubio is defending well for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rasmussen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Rubio lands a takedown into guard.
Rubio wants to control from the top but Rasmussen keeps moving.
Rasmussen wants to stand but Rubio is controlling the position.

Rubio loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Rasmussen uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Rubio misses with a double jab.
Rasmussen uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Rubio has time to react.
Rubio tries to clinch up.
Rasmussen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rubio has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rasmussen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rubio blocks a head kick by Rasmussen.
Rasmussen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rubio circles away quickly and effectively.
A little jabbing left from Rubio on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rubio looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nice straight punches there by Rasmussen. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rasmussen.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rasmussen ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Rubio out cold! The fight is over!
