Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jaspar Van Clausen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonas Schmidt!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Clausen tries to clinch but Schmidt is having none of it.

Schmidt throws a strike aimed at the side of Van Clausen's head but Van Clausen avoids it well.

Schmidt creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Van Clausen sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Schmidt is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Schmidt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Let's hope that Schmidt has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
